| MP3Fiesta | ----------> | ABOUT DOWNLOADING MUSIC - I don't know if you download music or not over the internet, but most of the popular free downloading programs put a lot of spyware and viruses on your computer, and they're not safe to use. And, obviously the artists who write the music that you love so much deserve to be paid for their efforts. Personally, if I had to pay anywhere close to the cost of a CD in a local store, for online music, I'd get the CD. But I did find a place that offers a truly great value in downloadable music. You get clean, great sounding MP3 files that you can make audio CD's from yourself, or load into your iPod or any other MP3 player, and the cost is VERY reasonable. Just 20 cents per song, or $1.98 per entire album! And they have as good or better sound quality than any other online music download sites offer. Plus, you don't need any special software, and you don't have to install anything. You download right from your browser. The account is free, with no hidden fees of any kind. You just "charge" it up with a credit card, in increments of $20 or more, and as you buy music, it deducts the cost of your downloads from your online balance. When it gets low, you just "recharge" it with the credit card. You can always see how much you have in your account, and what your current purchase will cost you. There's no hidden fees, and it just works great. I've been using it for long enough to know it works great, with no surprises, and you get outstanding quality music. | Aire Freshener | 2.0 | Peter Hirschberg's outstanding freeware environmental sound player for your taskbar tray. This program plays a wide selection of high quality environmental sounds, MIDI wind chimes, and can also play your audio CD's with it's built-in CD player. Sounds can be blended together or played individually. This is a very nice program, and can help you relax and concentrate while you work. | Audioactive Player | 2.08 | Audioactive, by Telos Systems, is a very small basic MP3 player. However, it's based on Fraunhofer, and has the absolute best sound quality you'll ever hear from an MP3 player. This no-frills player also includes a playlist editor. This freeware MP3 player is no longer supported, but you can get the latest version of it here. If all you care about is the absolute best sound quality, then you won't be disappointed. |
| AutoIt | Current | AutoIt v3 is a freeware BASIC-like scripting language designed for automating the Windows GUI and general scripting. It uses a combination of simulated keystrokes, mouse movement and window/control manipulation in order to automate tasks in a way not possible or reliable with other languages (e.g. VBScript and SendKeys). AutoIt is also very small, self-contained and will run on 95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000, XP, 2003 out of the box with no annoying "runtimes" required! You can even make compiled executable scripts that can run without AutoIt being installed! |
| AVG Antivirus | Current | AVG is a very powerful and easy to use antivirus program that is completely free for home use. It updates itself over the Internet every day (if you're connected that often), and protects you from all kinds of viruses from any source, including email attachments. |
| Cathy | Current | Cathy is a great, free program that can catalog all your drives, including removable media, and allow you to quickly find any file anywhere in it's database. It's wonderful if you keep a lot of files on CD's. It has very fast search features too. |
| Distant Planets | Current | Beautiful screensaver for Windows 9x - XP. Not a slideshow, but actually randomly creates completely unique images of distant worlds with incredible beauty. |
| Drive Cleanup Wizard | Current | Drive Cleanup Wizard is VERY effective at removing all temporary and junk files from all user profiles, not just the current logged-on user. Deletes temporary Internet files, and empties the recycle bin. Can also search for and remove files with specified extensions. Has options to either delete the files, or wipe them for extra security. |
| Electric Sheep Screensaver | 2.6.5 | Of all the screensavers I have ever seen for Windows, this one is by far the most beautiful and unusual. It is completely free, and requires a high speed Internet connection, as it frequently downloads new "sheep" from the Internet, to be used to generate the beautiful, random patterns that it displays. |
| ERUNT | 1.1i | This is the single, best program you can have on your Windows XP/2000/ME computer. It backs up your entire registry, either automatically every time you start your computer, or manually when you run it. It's much more reliable than Windows own System Restore utility. |
| Firefox | 1.0.7 | If you're tired of IE hogging your system, or crashing, check out Firefox. This free browser program is very nice, with lots of available skins, and a VERY effective pop-up blocker that can be configured to allow specific sites while blocking all others. It's very stable and fast. If you're looking for another browser, be sure to give this one a try. You may save yourself a lot of time. |
| freeCommander | 2005.09 | A very feature-rich, free file manager, similar to Turbo Navigator, but more up to date, and has more functions and versatility. Works with all versions of Windows from 95 up. |
| FreeRAM XP Pro | 1.50 | Freeware application to free and optimize your computer's RAM (Random Access Memory), resulting in an increase in system performance and productivity. |
| Home Planet | Current | Very stable and low-resource screensaver for Windows 9x - XP, that displays a realtime map of the earth showing the current areas of daylight and darkness. Also shows the current realtime position and phase of the moon, as well as displaying the current date and time. Well worth the download. |
| IrfanView | Current | IrfanView is a very fast, small, compact and innovative FREEWARE (for non-commercial use) graphic viewer for Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP/2003. |

| MiniMinder | Current | MiniMinder is the slick little date reminder program which gives an attractive daily countdown to any upcoming events which you've chosen to track. It's designed to be small and unobtrusive. The program checks for reminders every time you start your computer. You'll never forget as long as you use MiniMinder. |
| openPim | 2.3.1 | openPim is an easy-to-use PIM shareware application. It allows you to organize your contacts, web-links, passwords, events and notes in one file. You don't have to mess around searching for different pieces of information anymore. They're all just one click away from you now! The password manager makes it extremely easy to open your favorite URL's in your default browser, and then enter the required usernames and passwords. Everything is encrypted and secure. The notes are in rich text format, and allow you to embed images right in with your text. These features alone are rarely found in a program this inexpensive. It's a great way to keep your valuable information handy and easily accessible. |
| picsaver | 1.4.1 | This is a VERY nice, simple, free slideshow screensaver by nabocorp. It's similar in function to Windows XP's (and ME's) MySlideshow screensaver, only more advanced. Point picsaver to any folder, and it will display all of the images in the folder as a slideshow screensaver. This screensaver works great with my MySOHO program. |

| SpaceMonger | Current | Unique free program that displays your entire drive and all of it's files, in a graphic format, so that you can easily tell which files and folders are taking up the most space on your drive. With many powerful features, it's unbeatable for cleaning up your drives. |

This is the best program for finding and removing spyware from your computer. For best results, turn on Advanced Mode, then configure it to automatically check for updates every time it's started. Be sure to check the settings to make it download beta updates for everything. You'll get the very latest features and levels of protection. |
| SuperKeys | 5.3 | This is a great free program to create hot key shortcuts that allow you to quickly and easily paste often-used text into any document or field, just by typing a few keys. This program runs in your tray, and is very easy to set up and use. It will save you a lot of typing, and a lot of time looking up information you use a lot. The author has a wonderful website as well, with a great tutorial for this program. |
| Turbo Navigator | 1.47 | Outstanding free, fast, and powerful dual-pane file manager for Windows 9x through XP. Has many customizable features and makes navigating extremely fast. |
| UltraVNC | 1.0.1 | UltraVNC is an easy to use computer program that can display a screen of another computer (via internet or network) on your screen. The program allows you to use your mouse and keyboard to control the other PC remotely. It means that you can work on a remote computer, as if you were sitting in front of it, right from your current location. UltraVNC key features include FileTransfer, Video Driver, Encryption Plugins, high performances, JavaViewer, MS Logon, mouse and keyboard emulation, good Security and Text Chat communication. |
| World News Screensaver | 1.8 | This is a very impressive shareware ($14.95) screensaver that displays a nice view of the earth and stars, while bringing you the latest news stories from all the top Internet news sources. The screensaver image zooms in on the location of each story. |
