Welcome! Below is a list of the programs that I've written, using an outstanding, free programming language called, AutoIt. These programs are all free, for your own use, on a home or work computer. Please do not distribute them with any other commercial software, without contacting me first. These are all single, stand-alone programs that will run immediately.

Be sure to check back frequently for updates to any of these programs. Feel free to email me if you have comments, questions or suggestions.

Program Version Description
Alert 3.3 Simple and handy alarm-type program to alert you at a pre-determined time, or after so many elapsed minutes. The alert will pop up a message of your choice, and play a sound.
Blast'em 1.1 Funny joke program that I created from a PowerPoint presentation that was circulated in an email joke. An exercise in flatulance.
DriveEject 1.0 Simple command-line utility to open or close a removable drive (CDROM, DVD, etc.). For example, "DriveEject F: open" would eject CDROM drive F:. Run it with no parameters to display help and instructions.
DriveWatch 1.2 Run this program on any Windows 2000, XP or 2003 Server, and you can configure it to send out notifications when any of the mapped drives become low on free space. Requires the Windows Messenger service to be running on the recipient's PC's. You specify the free space values (in MB), and the program polls the drives and sends messages, if necessary, every hour on the hour, and when it is first started.
HandyCount 2.0 Remember the old hand-held mechanical counters? Well this is the modernized computer version. It is a simple counter that counts from 0 to 9,999,999,999. It has an UP button and DN button, to count up or down. The current count is saved if the computer crashes or power fails. If you exit normally, using the Exit button, you may choose whether to save the count or not.
IFD 1.0 Internet File Downloader - When you need a simple program to download a single file from a website, and you know the URL and filename. Very quick and easy. This will work with some pages that block you from browsing the site from your browser.
IPL 5.3 Instant Playlist is a handy utility which will automatically create a playlist (.M3U) file, containing a list of all of the MP3 files it finds in any folder you specify. It makes creating play list files from your favorite music folders a snap.
IPIZ 1.0 Utility to display all of your computer's IP addresses. It will remember them, and if you run it a second time (after making changes to your networking setup, for example), it will show you the previous addresses and new ones.
Jeff's IP Sweeper 2.0 Handy utility to sweep a range of IP addresses and determine which addresses are in use and which are not. Also displays the return time for each address that is in use. Useful for quickly determining free IP addresses on a network. Prints a report in HTML format on your desktop when you exit.
Jumbler 1.0 Interesting program to demonstrate the mind's ability to recognize words based on their letter patterns, even if the letters are jumbled up. Inspired by the classic joke email that demonstrated this phenomenon. You can type or paste your own text into Jumbler, and it will jumble the words and let you copy or save the resulting jumbled text.
MySOHO 4.3 Utility to download current images of the sun from SOHO and other sources. When you run the file, it installs itself automatically along with an auto-start shortcut. Simply configure your favorite slideshow screensaver to point to the specified folder. Windows XP and ME have their own built-in slideshow screensavers. If you don't like theirs, or you use a different OS, and want a great free slideshow screensaver program, check out picsaver by nabocorp.
Open 4.1 This is a simple utility that will open any folder specified on it's command line. It is useful for making autorun CD's open a data folder automatically upon insertion, when the command is specified in the Autorun.inf file of the CD. For complete help, run Open with a " ?" command line switch.
Oracle 1.2 Need a moment of inspiration? This program will randomly display quotes from famous philosophers down through the ages. I don't take any credit for this. The quotes are not my own, obviously, and were gathered from other sources. I just made the program to display them. Enjoy!
Randomizer 1.0 Simple program to calculate and display randomly generated numbers or passwords of user-selectable length. You can specify upper, lower or mixed case text, text only, numbers only, text and numbers, or all characters. Great for quickly generating random passwords. Results are automatically copied to your clipboard.
RanGen 1.1 Simple program to calculate and display a list of unique random numbers, of user-selectable length.
Ship's Bells 1.3 As early as the 15th century, a bell was used to sound the time onboard a ship. Bells would be struck every half hour, of a four hour period. Ship's Bells runs in your system tray, and chimes these bells on every hour, and half hour, according to your system clock. You will always know what time it is, without having to look at your watch or computer. The program was designed to use minimum system resources, and has very high quality bell sounds.
SPC 2.2 Simple utility to report the total capacity and remaining free space on all visible local and network drives. Also reports total and free RAM.
SSD 7.2 Screensaver Disable will temporarily disable any screensaver you may have, and also disable any power saving modes. Useful when your computer is running a task and you don't want it to be interrupted by a resource-hungry screensaver. Screensaver is disabled for as long as SSD is running, without hogging additional resources. Be sure to read the instructions file for additional advanced functionality.
Ultimate Shutdown 5.0 This is the easiest, most convenient way to shut down, log off, or restart your computer. Has a unique reminder function as well.
