Who we are
We are Waltham
forest residents who:
- Have a visual impairment.
- Care for someone with a visual impairment.
- A Have a visually impaired child.
- Work with visually impaired people in the borough.
We want to
- Provide a voice for visually impaired people in Waltham
forest.
- Influence local service providers
- Campaign on issues that affect visually impaired people.
- Provide mutual support, friendship and advice.
- Maximise the opportunity for independence for visually impaired
people.
What do we do?
- We engage with NHS, Social Services, transport and other
service providers to try and improve services for visually impaired people.
Key service representatives are invited to our Forums.
- We try to Organise specialist activities like Yoga, Exercise classes and more
- Provide social opportunities
How to Join Us
- We meet as a Forum every 2 months at the disability Resource Centre.
- If you are a Visually Impaired Waltham forest Resident transport
can be provided to the forum and home again.
